The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is investigating whether (Fortune 500 bank) also violated federal law by opening credit card accounts without customer authorization.
In one of the newly posted documents, a lawyer for (Fortune 500 bank) acknowledged that the bank found specific instances of what he called “potentially unauthorized credit card accounts…”

Fortune 500 bank Ordered to Pay 335M For Racial Bias
Though this is from 8 years ago, nothing has changed. I can say from my personal experience that when this company bailed out Countrywide- that is when the toxic workplace, discrimination, and horrible sales pressure began. It’s my understanding (go ahead and fact check) that when this company bailed out Countrywide, they let go of the (Fortune 500 bank) executives (or demoted them/moved them into less influential positions) and kept the CW executives- the same executives that were responsible for the unethical culture at Countrywide.
