Former Fortune 500 Bank Associate Testimony
On March 2nd, 2020 just 2 days after The Oregonian published the article regarding my being severed from Bank of America, a former female Financial Center Manager that had also worked in Oregon reached out to me via Linked In. Her story and commentary is below.

Hi Heather, I just wanted to tell you that I think what you’re doing is absolutely the right thing. I support you 100%. I feel the same was done to me here in Albuquerque at Bank of America. They need to make changes, it was terrible.
In Albuquerque they had me close two Financial Center branches, then they severed me... this was right after having a baby (so, I took maternity leave).
My boss was mad because he hated when people took leave... told me several times about others on leave that he was going to find a way to fire them.
I feared my job when I left for leave for that same reason. And of course when it came to fruition I was devastated. I wanted to sue them too because it was wrong, but I was scared. And I needed to ensure I got some money to take care of my family... so, I took the severance instead of pursuing the lawsuit.
As for sales practices, it was so much worse here than it was in Oregon. We had outlier calls every single night and got yelled at and embarrassed every time. It was so terrible.
I’m sorry they did this to you. You were an amazing manager, and so talented. They lost a great employee and person. If you want more details, and my help in the process, I am here and I will share my testimony.
