A Financial Center Manager sent this in regarding the experience working with a Regional Executive (a level above my position as Market Manager Executive).

“I called Human Resources for the 2nd time, expressing my concerns on the pressure on sales, and credit card push, that came from (Regional Executive) in any call we were on with him, or face to face meetings. Not only was the feeling of pressure but the feeling of fear, fear of losing my job. As in every call or meeting he would utilize an analogy as an example as to what would happen to us (losing our job in other words) as associates if we were not doing what he said. I also expressed on my all how his threats were causing traumatic health issues such as anxiety, job insecurity, and sleepless nights just thinking about what would happen if I were not to hit goal.

I attended a meeting at Mall 205 (Financial Center), and at the end of the meeting (the Regional Executive) ended the meeting with an analogy example which was “This is not a threat! But- if you are a barista in my current coffee place, and you cannot make drinks for my customers right, I will make sure you that you are no longer a barista in my coffee shop” this completely felt like a threat. (The Regional Executive) makes me feel like a number and not as a person/staff member. He only worries about his ranking within the company…and only talks about credit card, credit card credit card. Any call, or meeting that I have ever been in with (Regional Executive) he focuses on credit card.”
