I am beyond grateful for finding the article about you on American Banker. At the same time you were experiencing your issues with (this company) in Portland I was a newly hired Small Business Consultant in Dallas. Coming from Chase where the culture was completely focused on the client experience to a highly sales focused culture was an adjustment.

In October of 2019, like you, I had this sinking feeling that (the company) was on the same path as Wells Fargo from 2016. The constant pressure around credit cards, and hitting sales goals was absolutely foreign to me coming from Chase. I found the whole thing very concerning, and witnessed other team members employing questionable tactics to ensure they hit goals.

I brought these concerns up many times, and was told I was being negative, or threatening for wanting to go to the ethics line. I addressed these concerns at a Town Hall with the Market Executive and a Small Business Executive only to be directed back to the very policy I was being told not to follow by my SBBM.

I share all of this because I am now having to go to the National Labor Relations Board for violations of my rights under Article 7 of the National Labor Relations Act. I’m not sure if your lawsuit against the company is still in litigation, but I would gladly offer myself as a witness having experienced exactly what you have.

The company is actively retaliating against me for bringing my concerns to light. They put a new Small Business Banking Manager in place, and he is not only violating labor laws, but has directed to violate TCPA consumer protections. Please reach out. I would love to chat.
