I spoke to this person at length and they shared with me that after he reported the discrimination and racist comments by his Financial Center managers, the company retaliated. Another story of how this company silences complaints with threats and termination to keep it from leaking.
'“Heather-
After getting out of the Veteran affairs hospital (after being there for 2 months for a major health issue) I was sent to a different (Financial Center).
When I came back… racial comments were made in front of me that made me feel uncomfortable, I reported these events to the branch manager and after a meeting that was uncomfortable, being at that location made me feel more uncomfortable.
I was then treated differently at the branch as clients (sales opportunities) were passed to certain (other) races from the teller line..
On February 27th one of the employees held me back from assisting clients and doing my job by passing clients to a certain (other) race even though I was there available ready to assist and made me feel uncomfortable.
I spoke to the branch manager and assistant branch manager explaining the event and how I was treated different, “I said if things don’t change or something keeps happening I’ll have to take leave (of absence).”
…I was called after work and placed on suspended (leave).
On Thursday the 27th of February I received a text from JCCC veterans stating that private information from the private conversation with both Bank Managers in the private conversation…was shared publicly making me feel unsafe.
This has been stressful and painful in many ways based on racism and being harassed and written up on final notice after coming forward about it.
I need assistance from someone please.
I was born in North Africa and raised in south Minneapolis where this is not right.”
